Beginning South Thailand

SOUTH THAILAND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! IS AMAZING I ABSOLUTLY LOVE IT !!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can not tell you how much fun were having and how happy we are here, im having to split this month into many parts as so much is happening, id hate to bore you all at once.
We arrived at Kosan road, Bangkok, on the 24th march. Mesmorized by the buzz and vibe of the one street packed with travellers buying cheap clothes and amazing food off street stands, music playing loud from each bar we walked past, we found a place to stay above Kosan road which was cool but at night we felt like we were sleeping in a night club (I was sooo tired I didn't recognize.) We did however buy a spring roll before hitting bed (so good). We woke the next day on a mission, we had to go to the immigration office to get our visas extended, it turns out we cannot so Me and Charlotte are going to have to pop to Malaysia for a few days and then come back to Thailand. (oh dear). We took a over night bus to ko Phan Ngan, the journey started 6.30pm we arrived on the island at 1pm the next day. Me and Charlotte decided we felt like sweaty carrots. We didnt mind its exciting stuff.
Ko Phan Ngan, was sooo much fun!!! we stayed in a bunglow with two beds a fan, and a bathroom which was relativly normal (what are the odds), bonus hammok out side the door all for £4 each a night (not bad not bad). On the first night we had decided we were going to check out thai boxing as weve heard its not to be missed, however we got a little distracted we bumped into some guys which were staying a few bunglows down and they invited us to a pool party, it was soo much fun. we got pushed in constantly there were loads of people. The next day we corpsed on the beach and swam in the sea, we stayed in that night as we were still all travelled out. But the next day we went to check out the full moon party beach it look emense with all the fire dancers and neon lights as we were walking home we bumped into all the guys again, we had yet again been convinced to go out, it was such a good night we danced on the beach, the quote of the night "im so happy it hurts", we were busting the moves. On the way home me and Charlotte were quoting bridget jones, "i want to be an angel", "come on angel" .... anyhow.... The main reasons of being on the island is to experience the full moon party but this cannot be expierenced with out doing the pre full moon, everyones getting in the mood. We went out with only a little bit of flurecent paint on as we shall go mad with it tomorrow. We started off in the same place we started off every night, With the guys from the bungalows "black and white crew" (black and white is the name of where we were staying). Each person had there own little character I shall give you some of the main ones, Tommy always wears a cowboy hat and has a little moustouse the funniest guy ever, Nick the original full moon party partier he has been to 10 full moons and travels round just to party he has been to Laos many times, I could go on forever but all in all there was 20 of us. The beach was packed for the pre full moon it was impossible for everyone to stay together, I didnt get in till 5.30am, the party goes on till sun rise, dancing and then going for a ponder meet new people dance and ponder the general routine. The next day is spent trying to recover from the hang over in time for the Full moon, and I can not tell you how much fun we had that night. We were all absolutly covered in paint and flourencent bits and bobs. When we got to the beach there was more people than the night before thousands and thousands, it look amazing there were big fire signs afire, podeums for people to dance on, crazy cocktails being sold, more fire equipment out. After dancing for a very long time and feeling very bluming hot, me and Charlotte decided it to be a good idea to jump throught the burning ring of fire, hahahahhahahah!!!! I managed to make it through with out a burn Charlotte however managed to burn her leg a little bit, we wanted to jump over the fire skipping rope but couldnt find it. The fire dancers were insanely amazing, wish I could do it but im a little afraid of fire.
Right now I have told you about the night life I should tell you about the days.
On one of the days me and charlotte were going to rent out mopeds and we bumped in to Ben who we met in Cambodia, he also decided he wanted to rent out a moped so we all went together. Heading out of Haat rin past the port where we came in, our plan was to follow the coast round the island, we saw some of the most beautiful scenerys and stopped at some stunning beaches. Our plan was to end up at bottle beach which we heard was to be beautiful and secluded, we didnt make it as you have to get to it by taking the road on the other side of the island. Obviously we didnt know that before! instead we tried to get to a view point which was on the map, we followed the signs until we came to the steepest hill ever. Me and Charlotte were on the one moped and tried getting up, the moped then gave up and we fell off side ways in to a bush (im so glad there wasnt a snake). We did however carry on but turned back as we saw what roads that were to come. Stopping at a beautiful waterfall on the way back. The day after we had to head to a bike repair shop as we would get charged loads more from the retall place, our repairs cost 1400bt which is £28, our friend just took his bike back and got charged 5000bt £100, me and charlotte dont give out that sort of money away. Other days were spent on the beach, and playing beersbee with the guys, I wont pretend to understand that game just hit the stick with the frisbee is all I need to know.
i recommend everyone is to go to the full moon!!!!!!
NEXT STOP KO TAO!!!!!!!!

Cambodia

Cambodia What is there to say.... hmmmmm......
well if you want a brief discription, a temple is now a temple I dont think I will beable to look at another one for a year.
We got to cambodia on the 20th march (I know im late) at 9 oclock, we left Ho Chi Min at 7 that morning, we reached the border at midday, the easiest border we have ever crossed the travel man did it all for us, marvellous!!. Seam Reap is our destination.
Seam Reap as most of you will know is well known for the temples, (there are so many) Angkor wat is the main attraction and rightly so. Getting to the temples is easy enough just call a tuk tuk that is unless they dont call you first and follow you for a mile trying to get you in his "tuk", after spendig our time bargining a price with the driver, we were on our way. Me and Char are the most experience barginers travelling (dont mess). Arriving at Angkor Wat was amazing there is a moet that goes all the way around the wall of angkor, with a huge stone bridge taking you in to the first part or the temple. As we went in the the first part we were given a burning scent stick and had to hold it between our hand and bow three time to the budder and then rub his knee and foot, its meant to show respect and give you good luck. Leaving the first part of the temple we walked along a long stoney dusty walk way to the main part of Angkor Wat, it really is stunning to look at, breath taking as far as architect can take you. Angkor was huge, the layout was like squares that fit in squares with steps on each side of the square, that is as good as I can explain it with out a picture. The walls were covered with intrecate carvings, images of heaven or good on the top of the wall and unglyness and evilness on the bottom. For some bazzare reason all the buddas were beheaded i never found out why. Whilst walking through the middle of the temple there was a man sitting on a rug with a donations box, if you give a donation they told you your "future", mine was very good he said you shall succeed in what ever you choose. That was enough temple for one day. Day two we headed to Angkor Phom, this is a older temple than Angkor Wat, all of the stone was breaking or had already fallen, we walking around another two temples that were group in one place, that was it I have to go, in the heat it was tourtcher.
There were a few markets to go to on the night and asuasual there were many things we wnted to buy, but an ice-cream was enough for us. On the last day we decided to relax, and I was feeling very ill!!! I just lay like a vegatable on my bed for the day watching some weird programmes, including a killung tree if you must know, What????? really??????
We had a very quick trip through Ccambodia as we were in a rush to get to South Thailand for the full moon party, We have fiends there now who are loving it, so I think we needed to more time to get the full enjoyment, but I dont think I shall be going back there.
